Apparently, there is really a worm going around using the instant messaging applications like Yahoo! Messenger. The virus is called Sohanad and it has spawned variants.

This worm arrives as a downloaded file of VBS_ADODB.AE and JS_WONKA.N.

It spreads via the instant messaging applications Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), and Windows Live Messenger. It sends an instant message to all contacts of an affected user. The said message contains a link that when accessed, downloads and executes a copy of itself.

Yugatech recently wrote that a supposed Yahoo! Messenger virus is on the loose, perhaps infecting some innocent users. But I’ve done some online research and found some anecdotal evidence. I’ve also looked at some anti-virus websites, and found this on Trend Micro:

Ever heard of Pablo Banila?  

at first i thought that he was a total weirdo...

thinking that he would make friendster accounts or  multiply accounts just to view me then delete it.. until i found out that he's doing it to almost everybody...

one time i got lucky and was able to click  one of his FS accounts and to my surprise i was redirected to another site... at first i thought... owno! VIRUS!! 

lucky me there was none.. (yey)

it was really cool! he's soooo like google level! (in a virus kinda way)

viewing all those profiles and deleting all those profiles of his at the same time!

damn he's good!    

its a really cool way of advertising yourself... sorta... in a creepy way...T_T

i studied his site... its was full of things about himself, how emotionally disturbed he was... oh yeah i almost forgot obscene words and pointless youtube videos..

University of Santo Tomas leads the race for the UAAP Season 71 general championship at the end of the first semester events.

The Tigers wound up with 167 points after taking five titles during the first semester, according to an official tally produced by host school University of the Philippines.

Santo Tomas took titles in men's swimming, men's table tennis, men's and women's taekwondo, and men's volleyball.

The league awards 15 points to a champion team, 12 points for the second placer, and 10 points for the third placer. The fourth placer gets eight points; the fifth placer gets six points; the sixth placer gets four points; the seventh placer gets two points; and the eighth placer gets one point.
